Illegal immigration in Spain

Spain is still the preferred route to Europe for many Africans seeking a better life through illegal immigration, but the number of those making the dangerous ocean crossing in flimsy boats has been sharply reduced this year.

Fassara Keita, 26, considers himself among the fortunate. He says he was working as a security guard in his native Mali, but fled a death threat. He walked and rode buses to reach Morocco.

From there, he paid 750 euros ($1,050) last July for a ride in a small boat with 34 other immigrants, which took three days to reach Fuerteventura, one of Spain's Canary Islands.

Arriving without documentation, he was held for 39 days on Fuerteventura, received aid from the Red Cross, and then was flown to Madrid.

"I am asking for asylum. I don't know when I'll get my papers," Keita told CNN. "But I'm better off here than in Mali."

Not all are so lucky. Just this week, six Africans died trying to reach Spain. The boats are flimsy, overcrowded, the crossing perilous. Some flee danger; many others seek jobs.

The Spanish government says illegal crossings by boat reaching all Spanish shores have declined by 60 percent this year, compared with last. The decline is 67 percent for the boats specifically reaching Spain's Canary Islands this year. About 31,000 illegal immigrants arrived by boat last year to the Canaries, which lie a mere 67 miles (110 km) off the coast of northwest Africa.

Officials say the decline is due to increased patrols off the west African coast, in cooperation with the European Union and some African countries. Another factor, they say, is the planeloads of immigrants - more than 6,500 this year alone - who have been sent back to Africa.

Spanish authorities say there's still much work to do.

"As long as the boats keep coming and as long as there's even one death in the Atlantic, we must work forcefully to end clandestine immigration," said Consuelo Rumi, Spain's Secretary of State for Immigration.

Rumi said "the only ones who can be blamed" are the mafias which traffic in humans, and "trick, defraud and extort" the immigrants when offering the clandestine boat rides.

In Madrid, the Roman Catholic Church supports a center catering to African immigrants. It is called Karibu, which means "welcome" in Swahili, said Karibu director Antonio Diaz de Freijo. Diaz de Freijo worked for 12 years as missionary in Africa before helping to start Karibu 20 years ago.

As many as 4,000 African immigrants a year get clothing, food, medical attention and advice at Karibu. But the director says what they really need are working papers.

"The people we serve can't work and fully integrate into society," Diaz de Freijo said. "That's what separates sub-Saharan Africans here from other immigrants."

A Spanish government amnesty two years ago allowed 600,000 illegal immigrants to become legal. But some experts say many sub-Saharan Africans were left out, because they didn't have even the basic documentation to present to authorities.

Immigrants from Latin America, Eastern Europe and Africa now make up nine percent of Spain's population of 45 million. Morocco and Romania are the leading sources, with more than 500,000 immigrants from each nation, while Ecuador has sent more than 400,000.

The total number of immigrants from the combined, numerous sub-Saharan African countries is far less, but their plight on the boats has sparked a great deal of media attention, some experts say.

Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is due to speak about immigration at a summit meeting of European Union and Africa nations this weekend in Lisbon, his office said in a statement.

Zapatero is expected to propose a European-African pact based on three principals: developing employment and opportunities for young Africans to help them remain at home; a policy of managing legal migration that includes developing infrastructure as a key to growth, and a firm policy against the clandestine trafficking of illegal immigrants.

In Madrid at the Karibu center, a motorcycle mechanic from Liberia, who gave his name only as Charles, told CNN he'd rather try to get official paperwork to remain in Spain than return home.

"Going back to my country, that is going to be the most difficult," Charles said. "I prefer to live this kind of life in Spain."

AIDS EDUCATION AND YOUNG PEOPLE

Why is AIDS Education Important for Young People?

Young people are especially vulnerable to HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). They are also vulnerable as regards drug use (and not just injected drugs). Even if they are not engaging in risk behaviours today, they may soon be exposed to situations that put them at risk.

In many countries 60% of all new HIV infections are among 15-24 year-olds. Also the highest rates of STDs are usually found in the age range 20-24 years, followed by 15-19 years.

Does education about AIDS make young people more sexually active?

It is commonly supposed that talking to young people about sex will make them do it. Such anxieties prevent many teachers, youth workers and parents from talking about sexual matters. Alternatively, they may encourage an over-emphasis on the negative aspects of sex - unwanted pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS - rather than positive aspects such as intimacy, sexual love and pleasure. Likewise when drugs are talked about the emphasis is often on the damage they can cause. This kind of unbalanced approach is often seen through by young people. In consequence, they may reject all that adults have to say, seeking guidance and role models from peers and from the media.

Contrary to what might popularly be believed, research looking at the effects of sex education on young people's sexual behaviour offers little evidence that it hastens the onset of sexual experience, or increases sexual risk among those who are already sexually active. Indeed, several studies from different countries show that good quality sex education can actually decrease the likelihood that young people will have sex, and increases condom use among those who are already sexually active.

What type of education works best in school?

It is widely recognised that the best approaches to sex and drug education in schools are broad based and have several components. These include the provision of factual information about biology, sexual development, and sexual and drug-related risks; a concern with personal relationships, feelings and values; an emphasis on the acquisition of relevant negotiation skills (including but not restricted to how to say 'no'); and a consideration of wider social pressures and cultural expectations.

Successful sex education programmes have several key qualities. These include the provision of information, exercises to encourage an appraisal of values, and role play rehearsal to teach sexual negotiation skills. Programmes that aim to reduce specific sexual risk-taking behaviours and which reinforce group norms against unprotected sex and discuss social pressures to have unprotected sexual activity have been shown to be particularly successful. School curricula with these qualities have been shown significantly to reduce the likelihood that students who have not had sex prior to their exposure to the curriculum will have had unprotected sexual intercourse eighteen months later.

What works out of school?

Ideally, services for young people should be provided in a variety of ways - through specialised clinics, through youth advisory services, through general practitioners (doctors) and through local outreach work. The kind of services that are found most acceptable and appropriate by young people are those that offer a range of integrated services, are accessible at evenings and weekends, are close to public transport, have an appropriate image and atmosphere, and have approachable, non-judgmental and reassuring staff.

Studies show that peers can be well respected sources of information and support on AIDS-related concerns. Peer-led education has been shown to be effective in the field of substance abuse, and there are studies demonstrating its ability to bring about changes in HIV-related knowledge and attitudes. Studies focusing on risk behaviours are harder to come by. The best peer-led education programmes have clear objectives, provide training, support and supervision for peer educators, are accompanied by service provision or referral to appropriate services, and include regular monitoring and evaluation.

Other successful out of school programmes include those that provide culturally appropriate opportunities for learning through videotapes, games, exercises and other materials. These have been shown to be effective in reducing the incidence of unsafe sex and promoting intentions to use condoms.

How can we meet the needs of special groups?

Some groups of young people have special needs in relation to HIV and AIDS. Perhaps the most obvious of these are related to gender. Young women in particular may require support in acquiring the assertiveness and sexual negotiation skills that may enable them to avoid unwanted or unprotected sex. Young men on the other hand may need encouragement to listen carefully to what young women have to say and to respect their wishes in relation to sex and drug use.

The needs of young lesbians and young gay men may be missed by programmes and interventions that assume that all young people are heterosexual. There is evidence from the US at least that some young gay men may be at special risk of HIV. A variety of factors may cause this including the perception that AIDS is a disease of older men, a sense of low self worth caused by the reactions of parents and society, and less experience negotiating safer sex. Effective interventions among young gay men include risk-reduction counselling followed by peer education and referral to appropriate health services, and community based programmes using social, outreach and small group activities organised and run by young men themselves.

Young Black people and young people from minority ethnic communities may also have special needs when it comes to the promotion of safer sex and safer drug use. These may include access to materials and messages that are linguistically and culturally relevant, as well as what some writers have called 'culturally relevant learning'. These include activities and videotapes that engage directly with the interests and anxieties of the young people concerned.

Young homeless people may have special needs when it comes to HIV prevention. Some may have unsafe sex in order to obtain food and clothing, and in order to have somewhere to live. Some may share syringes and needles when injecting drugs. For many such young people, HIV and AIDS may seem less important than finding food and shelter. In order to be effective, intervention programmes among homeless young people need to address these concerns as well as AIDS-related issues. Providing access to health care and other resources, training in coping and sexual negotiation skills, and video and art workshops have been shown to be effective in reducing high risk patterns of sexual behaviour and promoting consistent condom use among members of this group.

AIDS EDUCATION AT SCHOOL

Why are Schools Important?

Many young people cannot talk about AIDS either at home or in the community. Nor can they talk about the risk behaviours that can lead to HIV infection. In many countries family planning clinics are mostly restricted to married women and couples, and young people are reluctant to talk about sex to doctors or nurses, either out of embarrassment or because they are worried that confidentiality will not be respected. They may feel equally uncomfortable talking to their parents, and their parents in turn may also be embarrassed or lack the confidence to discuss the subject with their children.

However, most young people do attend school at some point, and school is an entry point where these topics can be addressed. The potential strengths of a school setting are that children there have a curriculum, teachers, and a peer group. And school can teach them not only information, but also skills. School can also help to shape attitudes.

Obstacles to AIDS Education in Schools

Despite the desirability of AIDS education in schools, there are a number of obstacles which often stand in the way. Some countries have no policies on AIDS education, and in others there can even be policies specifically against AIDS education.

At the level of individual schools, one major obstacle is that often the subject can be considered by adults such as policy-makers, teachers and parents, as too sensitive for children or too controversial. Another obstacle, which is often encountered, is that the school curriculum is already full and that it is therefore impossible to find a slot for AIDS education.

Even when HIV and AIDS education is provided in a school, it is often inadequate for one or more of the following reasons:-

HIV and AIDS education is often provided that deals only with medical and biological facts, and not with the real-life situations that young people find themselves in. Only if life skills are taught, and matters such as relationships, sexuality and the risks of drug use discussed, will young people be able to handle situations where they might be at risk of HIV infection.
Only one option in terms of sexual behaviour may be offered (for example, that of abstinence) regardless of the age of the students.
Materials for teachers may not exist, and teachers may not be properly trained to organise classroom activities on sensitive issues.
No education is provided on referral services, such as further information and skills training, counselling, and youth-friendly STD services.
Overcoming the Obstacles - Developing a Consensus

Various "gatekeepers" such as policy-makers, religious leaders, parents, teachers and teachers' associations normally determine whether and what kind of AIDS education is taught in schools. Although they may consider some aspects of AIDS education controversial or unacceptable, there is likely to be some consensus among them on certain issues. For example, that students need protection from sexual abuse, that they should be able to refuse drugs, and that there should be educational equality between boys and girls.

This consensus can be a starting point, and it can then be extended to other matters such as the premises that adolescents can learn how to make sound decisions, including about avoiding risk behaviour, and that society should help rather than hinder them in such matters.

Overcoming the Obstacles - Designing A Good Curriculum

The starting point for designing a good curriculum for AIDS education should be to make a proper situation assessment. This involves studying students' patterns of behaviour relating to the risk of HIV and finding out, for example, what is the average age at which they first have sexual intercourse, what are their most common forms of sexual behaviour and of drug consumption (including alcohol) and when they tend to leave school.

Such an assessment should start by asking young people's views. Asking young people is essential as young people do not necessarily share adults' attitudes on sexual and drug behaviour. The students must be assured of confidentiality so that they give honest responses. The results of this assessment will have a direct bearing on the rest of the curriculum design which should then involve undertaking the following steps.

Defining the type of programme (including the age at which it is to be introduced).
Selecting objectives for the programme.
Making a curriculum plan.
Planning specifically for the production of learning materials, and for activities of the students.
Developing teachers' guides.
Overcoming the Obstacles - Ensuring an Effective AIDS Education Programme
Effective programmes are those that have had a positive influence on behaviour as regards sex, drug use and non-discrimination, and not simply increased knowledge and changed the attitudes of students.

It has been shown that effective programmes do all the following things:

Focus on life skills with the double aim of delaying first sexual intercourse and encouraging protected intercourse.
Concentrate on personalising risk through appropriate role playing and discussions.
Discuss clearly the possible result of unprotected sex, and in equally clear terms the ways to avoid such an outcome.
Explain where to turn for help and support among peers, school staff, and outside facilities.
Stress that skills useful for self-protection from HIV also help build self-confidence and avoid unwanted pregnancy, sexual abuse, and the abuse of drugs (including tobacco and alcohol)
Reinforce values, norms and peer group support for practising and sustaining safe behaviour and resisting unsafe behaviour, both at school and in the community.
Provide sufficient time for classroom work and interactive teaching methods such as role play and group discussions.
Start at the earliest possible age and certainly before the onset of sexual activity. Effectively this means that age appropriate programmes should start at primary school level.
A Good Example In Zimbabwe

In Zimbabwe all schools since 1993 have had compulsory weekly lessons on life skills and AIDS, for all students from grade 4(9-10 year olds) upwards. Booklets for students and teachers are designed for each grade and address four main themes: relationships, growing up, life skills and health. Topics range from discussions on gender roles and rape, to coping with emotions and stressful expectations. In the classroom, self-esteem and assertiveness are encouraged, and role playing suggests ways to respond to peer pressures. In addition to using booklets in the classroom, students also do projects in the community.

All materials are reviewed and approved by a committee including the national AIDS programme, the Ministry of Education, and representatives from the major religious denominations.

A large teacher training programme helps prepare serving teachers as well as students and teacher training colleges.

Where are we driving to, is the question. Life is getting rough and tough every day? people hunting for one another. prizes and awards being place on others head. what for? ONLY GOD ALONE CAN TELL.

Where are we thinking of while living? people say there is no God, others say the Bible is an idea from men, some Cameroonians say AIDS means American International Way of Discouraging Sex. These are the real virtures of life and the parables life holds. No one should be taken by surprise when the world comes to and end or when the Americans will say " BIN LADEN has been captured". Things are just going any how, that we can't defend nor give statements on.Behold to the father who gives his child a snake when he/she ask for fish.

I do ask my self, when really will all these sufferings on earth will come to an end. Only the shadow of a flying hawlk will tell the hen that danger is arround. For no one raises up a business to lose but to make profits, nor can a young fox teach an old fox old tricks, but recent tricks.
Why and what for should we be angry with one another, fight one another, kill one another or kill our selves? NO ANSWER!!

September 11 2001 is a day I can't foreget no matter how far I was and I am from the place it all took place. I was there spiritually and cried with the families that lost their love ones. I lost my faith in men, for I didnt believe men could do what they did.
Lucifer on earth, is the conclusion, but why should he be here is the next question.
NO MAN CAN TEACH HIS/HER GRAND MOTHER HOW TO BREAST FEED A BABY!! Nor can we teach our selves to know what is good or bad. We all have a second personality and we need time to get to know him.
SEX,DRUGS,KILLINGS,CORRUPTION,POVERTY and all sorts of societal ills are the order of the day now in our World.
How was the world 100yrs ago? did people die like this? In those days, when non of us was here on earth, men and women could live till 500years.. but now it's not the same.
ENTHROPY every where.
Watch out the way u Goverment leaders do your things. Life is brief and the earth is a passage to a different world.

HIV/AIDS in Cameroon

Young people are especially vulnerable to HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). They are also vulnerable as regards drug use (and not just injected drugs). Even if they are not engaging in risk behaviours today, they may soon be exposed to situations that put them at risk.

In many countries 60% of all new HIV infections are among 15-24 year-olds. Also the highest rates of STDs are usually found in the age range 20-24 years, followed by 15-19 years.

Africa continues to dwarf the rest of the world in how the region has been affected by AIDS. Africa is home to 70% of the adults and 80% of the children living with HIV in the world. The estimated number of newly infected adults and children in Africa reached 3.5 million at the end of 2001. It has also been estimated that 28.5 million adults and children were living with HIV/AIDS in Africa by the end of the year. AIDS deaths totalled 3 million globally in 2001, and of the global total 2.2 million AIDS deaths occurred in Africa.

In sub-Saharan Africa HIV is now deadlier than war itself.

In 1998, 200,000 Africans died in war, but more than 2 million died of AIDS. AIDS has become a full-blown development crisis. Its social and economic consequences are felt widely not only in health but in education, industry, agriculture, transport, human resources and the economy in general.

The overall incidence of HIV infection in Africa does however now appear to be stabilising. Because the long-standing African epidemics have already reached large numbers of people whose behaviour exposes them to HIV, and because effective prevention measures in some countries have enabled people to reduce their risk of exposure, the annual number of new infections has stabilised or even fallen in many countries. These decreases have now begun to balance out the still-rising infection rates in other parts of Africa, particularly the southern part of the continent. Overall, the total of 3.5 million infected people in 2001 was slightly less than the regional total of 3.8 million in 2000. But this trend will not continue if countries such as Nigeria begin experiencing a rapid increase.

Being affected with HIV in Cameroon is like having a cold in the North pole. HIV has become very commen for reasons one can't really explain. Looking at the global HIV statistics, we'll realise that Cameroon is amongst the countries with the highest HIV infected population.
One should also wonder why the rate of virginity in Cameroon has also drastically decrease. At first, most girls lost their virginity from 18yrs and above, but now, it has droped. Girls of 13, can now boast amongst themselves of haven had sex with their boy friends. For them it's a pride. But the question now remains unaswered:"WHO SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS DECREASE IN VIRGINITY RATE WHICH RESULTS AUTHOMATICALLY TO AN INCREASE IN UNPROTECTED SEX,THUS INCREASE IN HIV PERCENTAGE?" The boys who push these young girls in the act,the teachers who do not offer sextual education in school, the parents who do not give a closer look to their children back at home and never talk to them the dangers of unsafe sex, or the government who takes delight in receiving international funds, but do carry out little or no activities to fight against this killer disease?"
The above listed groups of people needs to be blame for the wild spread of HIV. The boys who force these young girls in to such malpratices, normally never have the time to protect them selves, and the end result may be very disastrous.Even the elderly girls,do involve themselves into unprotected sex.Parents, teachers and the government should have a partial blame for negletting the young own.

Below is a report from Paul Forka Lukong from
The University of Adelaide, Australia on The Benefits of a geospatial Approach in the Surveillance of HIV/AIDS in Cameroon:

In Sub Saharan Africa 28.1 million people are infected with the HIV/AIDS virus. In Cameroon more then 937 000 people are infected. HIV/AIDS is the single most important health and development problem in Africa and Cameroon. Research in this field necessitates the accurate and timely use of HIV/AIDS and health service information. In Africa national spatial data have enabled the mapping of location incidence and trends of HIV/AIDS. However, HIV/AIDS cannot be managed at this macro level. A micro level geospatial approach within Cameroon will identify villages and towns with population at high-risk of infection. A geospatial approach also facilitates the allocation and targeting of resources, policy and decision making to combat the disease. Cameroon like most of Sub Saharan Africa does not yet have location capabilities including skilled personnel, computer hardware and software. These capabilities facilitate research, analysis and the ability to combat HIV/AIDS. Geospatial data link to epidemiological and demographic data identifies precise locations and characteristics of seropositives in respect to testing, counselling and treatment centers. It makes it possible to identify and notify partners of seropositives of the risk of infection, and patients can be traced easily and treated. Terraseer software offer the opportunity to describe and visualise spatio-temporal patterns, and to perform a cluster analysis of HIV/AIDS cases. Terraseer will identify clusters of cases and determine their epidemiological significance. A Cluster analysis will demonstrate the correlation between nearest to health facility and cases. Terraseer software (SpaceStat and ClusterSeer) will be central in the analysis of the research data.

Countries where the spread of HIV/AIDS is subsiding or declining, such as Thailand and Uganda, it is primarily because young men and women are being given the knowledge, tools and services to adopt safe behaviours.
"Young people have unquestionably demonstrated that they are capable of making responsible choices to protect themselves when provided support, and they can educate and motivate others to make safe choices," said Gro Harlem Brundtland, Director-General of WHO.

The report outlines 10 steps that countries should take as part of their prevention efforts:

1-End the silence, stigma and shame.
2-Provide young people with knowledge and information
3-Equip young people with life skills to turn knowledge into practice
4-Provide youth-friendly services
5-Promote voluntary and confidential HIV testing and 6-counselling
6-Work with young people, promote their participation
7-Engage young people who are living with HIV/AIDS
6-Create safe and supportive environments
7-Reach out to the young most at risk
8-Strengthen partnerships, monitor progress.

American Embassy in Cameroon

The American embassy in Cameroon is becoming a rendez vous spot where friends get to meet with same reason of travelling to the USA. Yes!! I tell you,it's a dram there. People can be found infront of the embassy even at mid night to reserve their spaces for the next days interview.Others make money to reserve spaces for others on the waiting bench infront of the embassy.

Not less than 50 people go in for the interview daily, but not up to 3 can get a visa for the USA. The question now remains open;"Is America too full for others to travel in to, or is America the only country people can travel to to make ends meet?". I bet you my dear friends,at the american embassy in Cameroon, you'll find even friends it's been donkey years you've not met, coming surely for their 10th time to ask for a visa to America. Some come for student visas, which is some times easily granted while others come for business visas, normal visa to visit family or friend. Why are visas to America very difficult to obtain? Why are there hundreds of people daily heading for America, upon all the Iraq and Bin Laden issues gushing there? What is in American that can not be found in different countries in the worl, or is it that America is a free land, that while in it, you are free to carry out all types of criminal activies?

At first I thought only Cameroonians were interested going to America, till the day I visited Nigeria and I brizes passed the American embassy there. The crowd was really jam packed.Gabon, same and I'm sure, many other African countries too. There is something which surely most Americans don't know; The DV Lottary, where people and family could win a permanent residence permit in to America. Winning this lottary doesn't mean you are sure to go to America, for the cost of all other requirements the embassy ask, will surely push you to sell your only house. Many Africans have won this lottary and others around the world. To know more on this just try a google search on the DV Lottary and you'll be amazed with the results.

I wonder if life in America is that easy that most people wish to go there for a better life style. I'll know more and share with others, when I'll be there my self. C U there.

"What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are
tiny matters compared to what lives within us".
This happened in Paris. A few weeks ago, in a movie
theatre, person sat on something poking that was on
one of the seats. When she got up to see what it was,
she found a needle sticking out of the seat with a
note attached saying: Youhave just been infected by
HIV". The Disease Control Centre (in Paris) reports
many similar events in many other cities recently.

All tested needles ARE HIV Positive. The Centre also
reports that needles have been found in the cash
dispensers at public Banking Machines We ask
everyone to use extreme caution when faced with this
kind of situation. All public chairs/seats should be
inspected with vigilance and caution before use. A
careful visual inspection should be enough. In
addition, they ask that each of you pass this message
along to all members of your family and your friends
of the potential danger.

Recently, one doctor has narrated somewhat a similar
instance happened at the Priya Cinema in Delhi to one
of his patients. A Young Girl engaged and about to be
married in a couple of months was pricked while the
movie was going on. The tag with the needle had the
message "Welcome to the World of HIV+ family". Though
the doctors told her family that it takes about 6
months before the virus grow strong enough to start
damaging your system and a healthy victim could
survive about 5-6 years. The girl died in 4 months,
perhaps more because of the " Shock - thought". We all
have to be careful at public places, rest God help!

The Smoking Gun of AIDS: a 1971 Flowchart

In 1977, a secret federal virus program produced 15,000 gallons of AIDS. The record reveals the United States was represented by Dr. Robert Gallo and the USSR was represented by Dr. Novakhatskiy of the diabolical Ivanosky Institute. On August 21, 1999, the world first saw the flowchart of the plot to thin the Black Population.

The 1971 AIDS flowchart coordinates over 20,000 scientific papers and fifteen years of progress reports of a secret federal virus development program. The epidemiology of AIDS is an identical match to the "research logic" identified in the five section foldout. The flowchart is page 61 of Progress Report #8 (1971) of the Special Virus program of the United States of America. We today, challenge world scientists to discussion of this document find. We believe there is a daily, growing number of world experts who are all coming to the same conclusion regarding the significance of the flowchart. Dr. Garth Nicolson has examined the flowchart as well as other top notch experts from around the world. It is time for Dr. Michael Morrissey of Germany to examine the flowchart and report to the world. In addition, we have now examined the 1978 report. It is heresy to continue to further argue the program ended in 1977. The 1978 report of the development of AIDS leaves no doubt as to the ("narrow result") candidate virus sought by the United States. The flowchart conclusively proves a secret federal plot to develop a "contagious cancer" that "selectively kills."

Following the presentation of the flowchart in Canada, the same information was presented to the United States in the rotunda of the Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland. Shortly thereafter a major African newspaper called and for four days in a row, this issue was the feature story in an uncensored press. The people of Africa already know about the U.S. virus development program. It is time for the rest of us to know.

In January, the U.S. had no response to my two page abstract submitted to the African American AIDS 2000 conference. In February, the U.S. Congress had no response to the 3000 Americans who signed signature petitions calling for immediate review of the flowchart and progress reports of the secret virus development program. We firmly believe once the dust settles from the current election marathon, reviewing the special virus program will be the single most important pursuit of the 21st Century.

More scientists and doctors must join with Dr. Nicolson, Dr. Strecker, Dr. Cantwell, Dr. Horowitz, Dr. Lee, Dr. Wainwright, Dr. Halstead and Professor Boyle. In any public debate on this issue, we will continue to present the flowchart of the secret virus development program, as the "irrefutable missing link" in the true laboratory origin of AIDS. We have successfully navigated a federal maze and matrix and found a curtain surrounding the issue of AIDS. The 1999 discovery and presentation of the AIDS flowchart is a "smoke detector" wake up call. Society has an obligation to do more than don masks.
The first one was astonished and asked other, "Why are you crying?" The other replied, "I have come for my urine test."

AIDS is the greatest myth of our times. Inspite of voluminous evidence
> which shows that HIV is not AIDS, the myth is kept deliberately going so
that
> the following multi-trillion dollar industries keep prospering :
>
> (a) Latex industry: condom in simple word, even children know its use
> now. Boys and girls as young as 15, who were earlier afraid of sex, are
now
> experimenting with condoms giving rise to condom ethics, condom culture,
> condom civilisation, condom protection, all of which is as fragile as the
> condom itself. There are two types of condoms - male and female. The
> production, sale and use of female condoms is very restricted. After the
> 'condom accidents' the ever alert marketing men invented 'double hat'
> protection that means using two condoms to be doubly sure! Simple logic
> you see : if one condom can protect 50% two give 100% protection!

> (b) Eventhough HIV testing is unreliable, non-standardized and
> dangerous, this is a big business. HIV tests include mostly Elisa and
Western Blot,
> which cross-react with over 70 known medical conditions and illnesses.
> That means they are positively programmed to create scare!

> (c) Then there are microbicides, ostensibly to protect the women. Oils,
> creams, lotions, potions, gels, pessaries and ofcourse other paraphernalia
> like stimulators, scrubbers, hair removing pastes, etc. Presently there is
> war between chemical microbicides and herbal microbicides for market
> share. Consumer, as usual, is at the receiving end.
>
> (d) But by far the most lucrative business is the chemical medicines as
> usual - protease inhibitors, cocktails, anti-retrovirals, HAART or
> multi-drug regimen, vitamin supplements. Costlier the medicines more
> effective they are, is the false belief on which the mercenary medical
> mafia cashes on.

> (e) Some one has 'invented' AIDS Counseling. The counseler is as
ignorant as the patient. AIDS Counseling includes : telling HIV positive patient to
live with it. Further telling him/her that there is no known cure.
Scientists are working on Vaccines. Anti-retrovirals are life-savings. They are
costly, but if you do not take them you will die and then what will happen to your
family? If a patient were to ask about Alternative
> Medicine, improved nutrition, change in life style, prompt comes the reply
they are
> all dangerous. Beware of the quacks! That in short is AIDS Counseling.

> (f) Then there are 'AIDS Advocates' (usually Americans but working in
> sub-Saharan Africa) promoting the use of lethal chemical drugs and
> fighting for and on behalf of the poor patients to reduce their price,
influencing
> health ministries to underwrite the costs of 'life-saving drugs' and
promoting free or subsidised distribution of AIDS drugs, including to pregnant
mothers ostensibly to save the unborn. If there is no food to eat, water to
drink, clothes to wear, no problem. But you must have medicines, more the better.
They refuse to accept that Nkosi Johnson, an 11-year old boy, died because
of harsh treatment - 50 capsules/tablets, three times of
> day. A 'single judge' (he is married alright!), in S.Africa decides what
the
> Presidential Panel of Expert International Doctors could not. Human rights
> concern you see and he thinks he is the great Solomon and the President
> S.Africa and his panel of experts are fools!

> (g) How can we forget the AIDS conferences and AIDS journalists :
> local, regional, national and international? Big business. The same
people,
> sponsored by the pharmaceutical companies, parroting the same thing
> without application of mind, running down those who question them,
throwing to
> wind ethics, morals, professionalism, not considering alternative
medicine, ideas, experiments, vision or approaches. Very unscientific.
>
> Ever since AIDS was 'rediscovered' in 1981, it has threatened the very
fabric of society. It was 'rediscovered' by the proponents of modern medicine to
camouflage its dismal performance in the cause, the course and the cure of
major maladies.
>
> There is no known cure for HIV/AIDS is the frightening refrain that you
get
> to hear, not only in Sub-Saharan Africa, but also in Asia. Those who gave
you
> the idea that people have to live with AIDS, also tell you that you have
to
> live with diabetes, with asthma, with epilepsy, with cancers, with
muscular
> dystrophy, with stress and allergies! It will be my pleasure to remove
your
> this wrong notion. If you can give up your old habits, you can also be
cured
> of any malady -physical, mental, emotional or spiritual : druglessly.
>
> Anti-retroviral drugs (ARVs in short) offer no cure for AIDS. US federal
health authorities which earlier supported David Ho's "hit hard and early"
to
control "AIDS epidemic" argument, now realize that it was a hoax. The toxic
effects of ARVs include nerve damage, weakened bones, unusual accumulation of
fat in the neck and abdomen and drug-induced diabetes. Many people have
developed dangerously high levels of cholesterol and other lipids in the blood,
raising concern that HIV positive persons might face another epidemic of heart
disease.
>
> Indiscriminate use of ARVs to pregnant mothers is fraught with danger. If
a
> cigarette smoking mother can deliver a 'blue baby', if an alcoholic mother
can deliver a 'drunk child', if thalidomide can produce 'monster babies',
you are unwittingly playing with the future generation, by demanding that the
HIV positive mother be given ARVs compulsorily.
>
> AIDS is the consequence of a suppressed immune system which has been
subjected to repeated onslaughts by four factors that build up toxins and
deficiencies in the body. These are: antibiotic abuse, recreational drug abuse, anal
sex (which causes toxic shock to the receiving partner) and nutritional
stress.
>
> Realization is also slowly but surely dawning that the damage caused by
the
> stressed immune system could be reversed by good diet, yogic and other
exercises, herbs available readily, acupuncture, homoeopathy, proper rest,
avoidance of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, proper hygiene, etc. In other words, a
person is to be treated as a whole : body, mind and spirit.
>
> Over the years, it has also become obvious that only gay community and
those
> indulging in substance abuse, progressed towards full-blown AIDS. In other
> words, what I have said in my book Aids and Alternative Medicine is now
being accepted; that the repeated assaults on the body's immune system by the
build-up of toxins, nutritional deficiencies, coupled with unnatural living,
lead to AIDS. With that the wisdom is dawning that the damage could be
reversed without drugs. This new dimension puts to doubt the accepted belief that a
virus, HIV, is responsible for causing AIDS.
>
> The HIV tests, per se, are being questioned. These tests, we have always
maintained, were of dubious merit. Now, after twenty years and ruining
precious lives of young people by creating Aids Scare, it is slowly dawning on the
authorities that indiscriminate HIV tests have played havoc with people's
lives. Consequently, HIV test is no longer mandatory in many parts of the world.
But ignorance once rooted, takes time to be uprooted. Many private hospitals
in Bombay still insist on a routine HIV test before
> admission. And some Governments are making HIV testing mandatory.
>
> There is enough to show that the HIV tests, Elisa and Western Blot, can
show
> false results when there is cross-reactivity with a host of viral and
bacterial species. At least 70 different conditions like influenza, herpes
simplex, hepatitis, all mycobacterium bacterial species (including leprosy and
tuberculosis), malaria, malnutrition and even in pregnancy, a person may be
tested positive and falsely labelled as such, ruining his/her life and that of
his/her family.
>
> The fact that the HIV test is not specific for the detection of the virus
is clearly stated in the literature accompanying the Elisa test kits (from
Abbott Laboratories, for instance). In the light of this evidence questions
arise about whether bombarding the virus does any good to the body. Overwhelming
research evidence from the fields of AIDS, cancer and heart disease, points
to the dramatic difference in disease prevention, made through access to
right nutrition, exercise and changed lifestyle.
>
> Africa is cited as the example of a continent in the throes of AIDS.
Health
> historians say that AIDS here, is a consequence of the depletion of the
body's nutrition pool over generations, and the destruction of the immune
system. As sub-Saharan Africa plunged deeper into the cycle of poverty,
malnutrition and civil war, it also suffered epidemics of Ebola, Marburg or Lhassa
fever that stayed with them for decades. AIDS, they say, is the logical
conclusion of this onslaught. The deepening economic crisis of
> India's poor, likewise, will see more people testing 'HIV positive'
because of their depleting nutrition status, stress and compromised immunity. This
implies that the poor 'AIDS Victims' of the world, as a whole need more than
condoms, sex education and a cocktail therapy of questionable value and we
need to look at our age-old Holistic Healing modalities, which are safer,
cheaper, faster and more reliable than the lethal cocktails.
>
> In 1976, the World Health Assembly acknowledged the potential value of
traditional medicine in expanding health services by calling attention to the
manpower reserve constituted by traditional health practitioners (resolution
WHA29.72). In the following year, another resolution (WHA30.49) urged countries
to utilize their traditional systems of medicine. Yet another resolution was
passed in 1978, in which WHO was called upon to
> develop a comprehensive approach to the subject of medicinal plants
(WHA31.33). In 1987, the Fourtieth World Health Assembly reaffirmed the main points
of the earlier resolutions, as well as related recommendations made at the
International Conference on Primary Health Care, held in Alma-Ata in 1978
(WHA40.33). In 1989, a resolution was passed (WHA42.43) that recalled earlier
resolutions on traditional medicine, traditional health practitioners, and
traditional remedies and affirmed that together they constitute a comprehensive
approach to the utilization of medicinal plants in the health services.
>
> The moot point is inspite of several resolutions of the World Health
Assembly, why the WHO is according step motherly treatment to Alternative
Medicine? Is it ignorance, corruption or big business that decides? Is WHO a health
organisation or trade association of pharmaceutical companies?
>
> Drugs do not heal, they kill. The only known cause of HIV/AIDS is lethal
drugs! The idea of 'People Living With Aids' is nonsense. It is promoted by
medical mafia who peddle disinformation, diseases and death.
>
> Every disease under the sun can be treated by Holistic Healing modalities.
The principles of healing are very simple : (a) the body heals itself (b)
there is an inner environment (c) treatment should not be worse than the
disease.
>
> AIDS is a false alarm. Let us not panic. It is not a dreaded disease as
is made out to be. Ayurveda, Nature Cure, Yoga, Homoeopathy and other
alternative therapies hold tremendous promise in AIDS as also in so-called incurable
diseases. Therefore, it is time to halt the wasteful expenditure in dead-end
biomedical research and divert those funds to holistic healing modalities.
Even if twenty-five per cent of the total outlay made towards
> biomedical research is given to alternative systems of medicine, the
health
> graph of the world will show marked improvement.
>
> 'From Aids Scare to Aids Care', 'Aids No More', 'Health Care is Self
Care',
> 'Humanism in Health' and 'Health, Peace and Plenty for All', should be the
> slogans of the New Millennium.

What I can say is that, I'm coming from hell.
I have never wanted to believe I could see hell before my dying day.
Let me start the story from where it is to stat.

It in the evening of the 18th of March 2002, that it all started. I was a net cafe where I usually surf, chating with one of the TIGers when I suddenly felt chill down my spine. I took it for granted and went on chating.
Not long from, I started shivering, as if I was necked in snow. I had no one around to take me home and no one could call the hospital coz that is not how it functions here.
I try to get my self out of the net cafe and took a cab home. Far from my home, near a friends place, I could no longer move.
This guy and some few others rushed me to the hospital. I had a temperature of 40°c that evening and the doctors where all scared.
I was administered two drips.I can't even remember what it was nor who administered it.
I was dam weak and unmovable for about a week and all I could take in where just liquids.
I knew I was going to die.
I my ward were two other men. A man who was rsuhed in while in the state of comma and another 33yrs old guy who had AIDS.
How terifying it was:(
Two days latter, the man in comma died. Four days after his death the AIDS patient also died. Before he died, we had a great deal of talk which I am preparing to write as an article for you all.
All I wish to let you all to know is that I am back from hell and I don't think I wish to go back even for a shrot walk.
Thanks to all those who sent forth their love through my friend Pascal, especially to Jarra,Karis,Tracey,Brez,Camilla and all the others who actually know them selves.
I owe you all loads.
I'll advice you all not to miss the article I'm preparing. Be the first to read and send forth a comment and you'll get sothing from me.

Witchcraft in Cameroon

Many people do ask them selves if really witchcraft does exist. Well, what I can say is YES!
It’s is very common in many African countries, especially in Cameroon and Nigeria. That of Nigeria is actually well known coz it is really alarming.

As I know, in Nigeria, there is a common cultic trade of human parts, most female breast, male/female privates, eyes, fingers, human heart, ears and some other special body organs.
People are being killed daily coz of these parts. W hat these parts are used for, God only knows and they people who need them. But from what a Nigerian friend of mine made to understand that people in cults to make money are using most of these parts. How do they do this, is what he could not tell me. All is that, others to make money are using human parts.
Wooooow! ! How scary it is to be used by other to make money .
Cameroon is not left aside as long as witchcraft is concerned. In Cameroon, witchcraft in many villages is like saying ‘good morning’. Just before you blink your eyes, you are being taking away from this world, in to the under world, so called Nyongo.
Nyongo is some how a satanic owned business, where people are being sold in to, to work for others who are on earth. This is very common in the villages and among some big, responsible men around town, with big and wonderful cars and houses.
When some one sells the other party in Nyongo, the person that is being sold goes to work in the spiritual world for the person that sold him/her.
Let me give you a short story as an example:
Once in the town in which I was born, a young girl died. The death was so mysterious that called for concerned to actually know what took this young girl’s life.
A witch doctor was being consulted and he testified that the girl has been sold in to ‘ Nyongo’ by on of her aunts, whose name he gave.
People could not believe what this man said, but after this girl was buried, three years latter, she was found in a different town selling in the market.
During these years, her aunt had flourished to her highest height. The person who saw this little, called her by her name, and at that same spot, she vanished in the air and has never been seen again. What can actually be the conclusion of this story? The floor is open to all to answer.
A second story is that of a woman who her husband’s second wife killed her. People new this woman could do such a thing, but when she was being questioned on that, she claimed innocence.
Her husband then suggested moving the family down to the village to find out the true story. This sounds funny, but get the reality of it.
While at the village, a great witch doctor was being consulted who did called back the dead woman’s spirit in a bowl of water to the sight of every body. This was frightful but no one could leave at that moment. The dead woman’s sprit spoke after haven being questioned by the witch doctor and all those who wanted to question her.
She said she was being poisoned by the other wife and that the remains of the poison was still buried some where behind her kitchen.
When the place was dug, the remaining poison was found.
Tell me my friends, what could you have done if you were in the situation of this man or being a member of such a family?
Wonders shall never end!!
I will be back with more of these stories;)

He was my class mate since in secondary school. Nice tall looking guy with a real African clour.
Every one liked his ways when he was happy, but when angry he was frighful.
He name was Oben Henry and now he is no more.
The last time I met with Henry, he was interested of being a TIGer like most of his friends who have heard the preachings of TIG. We never saw each other again coz he was busy with school and I was very busy spreading the good news of TIG.
All these took place,December,2001.
Henry was cut by death last Wednesday after a party where he drank so much whisky. He was really drunk when he went back home. His girl friend forced him to have a cool shower thinking it will be good for him.
Henry colapsed in the bath during his shower and by the time he was being rushed to the hospital, he " KICKED THE BOCKET."
Every body is confused at the moment.Henry's corps was laid at rest today but I had no courage to attend.
Good bye Henry and may your soul rest in pease.
This advice goes to all TIGers arround the world: watch out your ways when at parties. Do not over do anything. It's for your good.
I will be going tomorrow with some other friends to plant flowers at Henry's grave:(

STREET CHILDREN IN CAMEROON

The streets of Cameroon are turning in to homes for some run away and abandoned children.
Many of these children are between the ages of 7-22.Some are out for business, selling stuffs on their own to make a living, while others are out for no good, just roaming the streets like cow boys.
Taking a close look at this situation, many of these street children are foreigners from neighbouring Countries that surrounds Cameroon ,like Nigeria,Chad, Gabon, and central Africa Republic. Some stay with their whole family on the street and the parents stay behind in hiding while sending forth their children to beg money from passersby. One needs to be on the spot to see how they hold passersby, pulling them left and right to beg for money.
A good example is what I experienced with some friends on the 14th of October 2001 at 8 :00 pm when I just lost my job;
While with some of TIG members of the Cameroon team, at a snack bar, a certain young boy came up to us begging for money,of name Jille and he was 13 years of age and from a family of 12 children,hi m being the 8th. Jille requested for 50frs CFA(less than a US cent). He said he was very hungry and needed to buy something to eat.We offered him a chair to sit in our midst and we all contributed some few coins, more than what he requested for and gave him .
I tried to interview him in order to get the reason why he was roaming the street at that hour of the night.We all agreed on that,and this is part of the interview ;

Alex---Hello young man, whats your name and how old are you ?
Jille---My name is Jille and I am 13
Alex---where are you coming from at this hour of the night
Jille---From an aunt’s house
Alex---Why are you roaming the street and begging for money if you are from your aunt’s
Jille---I am very hungry
Alex---haven’t you eaten since morning?
Jille---I eat in the mornig but I was refused food in the afternoon and this evening because my mum say’s I refused to work in the house this afternoon.
Alex---Do you go to school?
Jille---Yes I do
Alex---Jille,why not being honest with us and tell us why you are out roaming the street at this hour of the night?
Jille---Okay!! I lost the money my mum gave me to give to one of my aunts and she has sent me out of the house till I get her money back.

Jille’s case is very common here in Cameroon, where parents send out their children from home because of one reason or the other .But getting all of Jill’s interview, one can not really tell why a mother should do this to her son.To very sure and certain of what Jille was trying to explain,I had to insist for a clear explanation, but the young man stood to his grounds and maintained his words with full assurance.
Why should parents go up to extend of frightening their own blood children up to the extend that they are pushed out the house.Jille doesn’t know his rights as a citizen of Cameroon and as a child. To avoid further complications we gave him the right amount which he lost(14000frs CFA => $20) and we took him back to his mother who was actually ahamed of her act and appologised to her son,but she still took the money we contributed.
A second of such case occured on the 16th,two days after we met Jille. But this time the child was far younger than Jille was.A primary school boy of 7years who left home(7:00 am) for school with any empty stomach. He could not stay in class for the for rest of the morning periods. By the time is was getting to mid day, Ben and I found this boy sleeping by the road side with very low breath rate. Ben got him up and I tried to ask the boy what was going on. He could not say a word and he was very weak and could hardly sit up right on his own. Ben suggested that we should buy him something to eat, so we did and the boy eat and drank something. We then began to question him and discovered that he had not eaten since morning. We took him back to his school and told his teacher what happened.
Getting both stories, one has many conclusions to draw about parents here in Cameroon as being very careless towards their children and I’m sure, towards their whole family. Also there is actually a high birth rate here in Cameroon, where by parents bring forth as many children than they can care for.
We have now decided to take a closer look to this issue than before, and by this doing, sent out three talented youths to carry out a search on this and to produce a detail report. We also call on foreign bodies and home bodies to also take action on this issue, since must of the street roaming is due to the high rate of unemployment here in Cameroon.
What can really be done is to create job opportunities these youths to keep them busy and as a result will also reduce crime rate.
