Hi folks!! i know it's been ages and ages since most of you last saw me on this wonderful site that changed my life for the better (i think!) i wanted to let you all know that sandy1 is very much alive and kicking in the year 2005. she continues to face up to the reality of finding a job in her native Zambia. so please for all those whom i haven't been in touch with since i left South Africa my biggest apologies. i haven't forgotten you, i just had to deal with relieving my internet addiction! or rather free internet access...in short i gotta pay to stay online!! i'm still a member of TIG and regularly check my mail so please do stay in touch. for those whose birthdays i didn't acknowledge(i got the kind reminders in my mail) but couldn't reach you so happy belated! and hope it was sweet. so i guess this is it then catch me on sanchamuzo2002@yahoo.com or sanchamuzo2004@gmail.com until i miraculously pop-in on my lovely site. it's bye, adios, au revoir, ciao, kwaheri!! miss you guys too too much.

love,
Ode to Cape Town

How time has fled
Thinking…
It started out like the longest year
2004
Roller coaster ride, mostly down
There were ups too, look where I am?
A platform I found
Friends I met, lessons I learnt
Achievements I’ve made
Beauty, vastness, boredom, loneliness
All part of…
Pain included
Diverse people, a lot of understanding
Laughter amidst it all
Firm family, plenty experience
The worst to grasp the best
But now…
The time comes; the words most said shall be spelled
It won’t change me; it’s a part of me
Homeward bound
Cape Town behind
Perhaps we shall meet
Sooner than we think…

So 40 years on after the British gave over the power to our freedom fighting Grandfathers is there much to celebrate? Northern Rhodesia now Zambia... alot has changed and a lot remains the same. whose responsibility is it? Kaunda's Chiluba's or Mwanawasa's?
Poverty, disease and lack of employment our nation's 3 biggest woes but let's not forget how far we have come and how far we are to go.
i wasn't there this golden year to celebrate, i just refelcted on your behalf. Happy Birthday Zambia, home will always be HOME.
