The European, French Canadian Space Agencies have captured my attention by offering 24 women the chance to stay in bed for 60 days, non-stop, at an angle of 6 degrees. It sounds weird I know, but it is a study to see the effects that weightlessness (hence the 6 degree tilt) has on the human body. You have to be older than 25 - and you will be paid €15,200 for your time - crazy!

Tomorrow (8th of June) you will be able to view the Transit of Venus; the first time since 1882.

Venus will appear in front of the sun as a black dot at 7:39 am (GMT) and will be visible to the naked eye until 1:30 pm (GMT). Remember not look directly at the sun (even with sun glasses or any lenses) as it will damage your eye’s cornea.

I hope most of you will be able to see it, since this wont be happening again until the Earth and Venus are align with the each other and the sun. You might be able to see it in 2012 but is a slim chance, if not and you stumble across immortality along the way, you can wait until 2117 to see it again.

Today I saw a documentary about child paedophilia. It truly shock me.
It was about Romanian girls and boys (mostly boys)12-16 years old, that were being prostituted by an English man called Tom P. Most of this children were homeless and others were sold by their families.

Tom had a website with explicit pictures of this young kids, where people could book "extra services" from this boys.
All the boys and girls that were featured in the website, been abused by this man.

After this undercover report was made, the tape and the interviews with Tom and the respective abused children was shown to British and Romanian legal authorities, but unfortunately nothing was done.

Tom returned to the U.K. and had restrictions made concerning his access to minors and later on went to live in Holland. But he was never arrested or persecuted for the crimes he committed and admitted to on camera; Instead he went to live in Holland where he had mention earlier on in the film that he had large clientele for "his boys".

How come people go to jail for economic crimes but many paedophiles slip through the net?
It was kind of comforting but at the same time I felt guilty for letting myself drift away from them all this years.
I really miss them.
Benedictine nun is facing jail for driving a tractor into a car while drunk outside her convent in southwestern Poland, police say.

The 45-year-old nun will be charged with drunk-driving and causing an accident, which carries a prison sentence of up to two years, Dariusz Waluch, police spokesman in the southwestern Polish town of Dzierzoniow, told local news agency PAP.

He said the nun was 17 times over the country's legal alcohol limit for driving.

Also U.S. President George W. Bush has marked International Women's Week by paying tribute to women reformers -- but one of those he cited is really a man.

ROME (Reuters) - Pet owners in a central Italian town must pamper their dogs, cats and birds and even show mercy to supper-time lobsters or face fines as high as 500 euros.

According to a new bill regulating the treatment of animals that will be implemented next week in the wealthy town of Reggio Emilia, canary owners will have to buy a significant other for their bird, who otherwise might suffer from loneliness.

Dog owners will have to provide sufficiently spacious dog houses in shady, sheltered locations and pet owners of all stripes will be prohibited from dyeing the fur of their animals.

The rules, spelled out in 39 different articles, also make it illegal to throw live lobsters in boiling water.

"It's a useless torture, they should be killed first," a spokeswoman for the town said on Saturday.

Fines for breaking the rules run from 25 to 495 euros.
Today I got myself a new diary,(well my boyfriend paid half).
I wonder how Anne Frank felt when she got her diary where she recorded her memories, all the pain she went through. And now its one of the most worldwide read books in history.

I know that i wont record anything even remotely as close and important as her, but it will be a way to keep those fading memories alive.
