Why I Have Been So Quiet

G'day folks. Sorry I have been so quiet, but I have not been particularly well lately. I have had a very serious lung infection, that even my doctor was quite shocked that I have recovered from. Although, it has taken quite a lot out of me. I need to take things a little easier these days. It is still kicking in my system, I don't think I will really completely throw it off. But, it obviously takes one hell of a lot to keep me down I guess!!

Anyway, I am trying to rearrange my page somewhat. Just trying to apply a decent background layout that expresses who I am.

Although I don't really feel the need for odd comments such as Nini Mizell left in my GuestBook; saying something about quot; Why do I call it a geek of a Portal???quot;{ Whatever this is suppposed to mean I don't know?? Perhaps she doesn't fully understand Aussie slang for quot;having a look at my pagequot;, if she bothers to read!!! No-one else has seemed to have had a problem understanding my wording, I don't think??

Hello, Hugs, Kisses, Lots of coffees, pizzas, cake, sun and stars and sweet sweet smiles, to my wonderful Tribal Brother and Sister Steve and Betsy(I know you don't like that!), from Racine, Wisconsin, USA.

Everyone Needs a Gentle Guiding Hand..Like my Brother Did For Me

Browsing through the pages of my memories as I was growing up, I recall my brother Barry, whom was not only a father to me but also a magnificent mentor and guide. I laughed, cried, sang, and learned very valuable lessons from him. I learned love, hope joy, hope, togetherness, friendship, sharing, and how to question, challenge and take action when things didn't always turn out the way I thought they should have, out in the world around me. When I couldn't take specific action, he helped guide me towards achieving it. Not by actually doing it for me, but showing and guiding me towards options that I could achieve. This taught me invaluable lessons, that helped to shape and mold my character and the very fabric of my soul. I was able to achieve my goals, hopes and realise my dreams through acceptance, love, guidance, understanding, sharing and caring. Even when I thought at times that things wouldn't work out as I had wished they would, he was always there to guide me through even the most diifficult moments. Growing up isn't an easy task, believe me, I speak from experience. And I will always remember he was there when I needed a hand, to help make the big bad world, seem a much more beautiful place. Even today, now I am a little older and hopefully wiser, I still can recall his gentle guidance, if things seem a bit out of hand and I am feeling like I am losing my place in the world. To me he is a guiding angel, always looking over my shoulder, and gently helping me through todays' fearful, strange, uncaring world. Everyone is in need of a helping hand, like my brother did for me. No-one is too young, no-one is too old to help and guide, or to need help and guidance in some way or another in todays' world. I hope that there are more people like my brother, willing to lend a guiding hand. To care. To share. To guide to take Action. To inspire to achieve the seemingly unreachable star.

Hypocrisy concerning Governor General's Youth Dialogues

I am VERY disappointed in the Youth Conference in Quebec hosted by the Right Honoroble Governor General: Michaelle Jean. It is apparently MEMBERS SPECIFIC ONLY. I was suggested this topic in Resources of Interest. I can't even post a comment, discussion thread, blog, nor do ANYTHING until I MUST join them as a MEMBER!! Absurd!!! Also, VERY hypocritical, as I have noticed that not ALL youth around the Globe are invited!! apparently it is selective attendance, specified by the conference co-ordinators. And they also I believe, have a few problems in Canada at present regarding "Afro-American Canadians" (dare I say, Non- white, in other words), seggregation in schools. Also there are various yoths around the world whom have been denied Visas due to culture, race, identity etc. Also, supporting adults are NOT invited to join unless they meet their specific criteria - please see website to understand what I mean by this. They are ONLY really wanting youth to supprt it, BUT how can our youth be supported properly, or even at all, unless ACTIVE INTERESTED OLDER PEOPLE WITH LIFE EXPERIENCE/s, some VERY INTERESTED in helping, cannot; due to their very strange specific criteria!! You can be a "Champion of Youth", but if you look at whom they are, such people as: PRINCE CHARLES, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, and a gentleman from a large banking institution etc. In other words, those whom have money, status, power, position, throughout the world, if you get me. No such luck for us ordinary people, huh??!! As far as I am concerned, I believe this an absolute disgusting, hypocritical, farcical conference. PAYING LIP SERVICE TO OUR MAGNIFICIENT YOUTH.*******...................SO mmuch for Global Community REAL Spirit and Co-operation?? Acceptance....NIL!!!!!!*******
