Richard Kozul-Wright titled 'Doubling Aid:Making the 'Big Push' Work' casts light into what has been camapigned for by, among others, yours truly. The Kenya Private Sector Foundation Executive, Messrs. John Maliti, who has been at the forefront of the debate, like yours truly, must be smiling from ear to ear in satisfaction. Someone must have been listening...and reading. The prescriptive nature of Bretton Woods policies also became a point of focus. UK's Development Secretary Hillary Ben also highlighted the same a few weeks ago.

A critical look at the war in Northern Uganda confirms that it definately has no direction and merely a perpetuation of Joseph Kony's fantasy-filled mentality. When will he ever wake up and realise that he is killing and maiming his own people. While his aunt, Alice Lakwena, the initial engine behind the atrocious and near-genocidal war, is happily whiling away her time in Kenya's Nothern Rift Valley, why cant the policy makers get hold of her and put her to task over the war? Why cant they ask for her permanent intervention to stop her nephew from maiming and decapitating? Maybe its time someone asked her how the war can be stopped as she has the inside knowledge on Kony's operations and "beliefs".
