MDG Goal Number 3 and Africa Men

THE MELLENUIM DEVELOPMENT AND NIGERIA MEN
The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are eight goals to be achieved by 2015 that respond to the world's main development challenges. The MDGs are drawn from the actions and targets contained in the Millennium Declaration that was adopted by 189 nations-and signed by 147 heads of state and governments during the UN Millennium Summit in September 2000. Nigeria singed and it great they are trying to work the signature, however it becomes so painful that not every one knows the important of making this come to reality, while some are on the struggle to make the MDGs come to reality, some are staying neutral and some are frustrating the effort of committed persons, well let me use this post to inform us: mainly my Nigeria male folks that it’s possible to accept all of the goals,
Goal 1: Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
Goal 2: Achieve universal primary education
Goal 3: Promote gender equality and empower women
Goal 4: Reduce child mortality
Goal 5: Improve maternal health
Goal 6: Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
Goal 7: Ensure environmental sustainability
Goal 8: Develop a Global Partnership for Development
An average Nigeria Man would accept goal number 1, 2,4,5,6 and goal 7 what then happens to goal number 3, here is where the problem begins: some say it’s from the “Deepest Part in the Pit of Hell” others call it a “Demonic Principle” perhaps we need orientation on what it means, I think every one is one way or the other connected to a woman, either as a mother, sister, friend, child or wife if you are then you should protect them, don’t only reason from the aspect of living in the home, if you don’t do it to your wife some other person will, their is no development with would be meaningful if our African women are not empower, support women, we impact the world and make it worthwhile, it doesn’t just have to rotate, the rotation needs to be meaningful.
Enjoy
Please do well to make inputs and suggest possible means to help the programme succeed.
“GIRLS ON IT”
The programme has an aim: To step down UNICEF framework to generate new brand of leaders with vision to create information on friendly environment and to deepen youth understanding of issues that has to do with HIV AIDS management among over two thousand young girls in Government Girls College Funtua, Katsina State. This week we discussed on Teenage pregnancy, I facilitated the process that involves in becoming pregnant, factors contributing to teenage pregnancy and how to handle them, and the effect of teenage pregnancy on girls. This was followed by a word to open up their minds to staying alive and staying focus in their dreams and vision. Some of the girls suggested that as teenage they are to remain virgins until marriage.
The Mind is the power house of our everyday lives, whether we would be great or not is in our mind, all of our believe, actions and thoughts comes from our inner mind.
Empowerment to me means motivating yourself from the inside to believe in yourself to actualize your self aimed goals and visions. I really would say this because most youth thinks the should have a motivating force from outside but the real thruth is that it's from within, let us all as youths begin to think outside the box and CREAT opportunities for ourselves, there are alot of ways this can be done, let's see possibilities in life and maximise all of this.
I believe in you, I believe you are best person and I believe in the possibilities of your Visions.
