To many people, friendship is having some one like them, their age mates and someone who also likes the things, places and people they like. A friend is someone who will always be nice to them. To others, friendship is a very nice relationship with another person either boy or girl, a person who will always want to play with you them and make them happy. To me, friendship is a very valuable relationship, that’s what my father always tells me. He encourages me to make good friends; he said friendship is caring about someone else not doing what you don’t like to such a person. Being happy for the person when he or she is happy and being sad when he or she is sad or in pain. It’s really true that a friend in need is a friend indeed.

Poverty and the 3rd world...

The issue abject poverty confronting the people of the poorest nations seems getting out of hands and our so-called world leaders seem holding their jaws. How can we explain the nations that produce cotton whose people can not get clothe to wear?

I think the capitalistic nature of the developed world policies is speedly aggravating the problem of poverty in the 3rd world. The reason is because many of these developed nations were only interested in tapping resources of the 3rd world for their own benefit under the pretext that they are helping to solve the problem of poverty.

* For economic or whatever reason, America spent billions of US dollars in an unjustifiable war in Iraq and consequently inflicted more poverty on the people of Iraq.

* We spend billions on space exploration whereas we spend nothing to make poorest people happy even once in their life time.

* They grow coffee in Chile not for their own consumption but for these selfish and greedy westerners who paid token for the services of these coffee farmers and in return make millions profit.

* They grow cotton in Burkina Faso but can they boast of good clothe? No; because they have got nothing to buy them!

* They have oil in Venezuela, Nigeria etc and yet people are queuing at the fuel stations whereas oil is more than enough where they naturally had none (they said it's their freedom and it has to be acquired by all means).

* We spend billions to make war implements but we failed to make a single peace...

* HIV, AIDS and other slight sickness are killing people from the poorest nations and we seem unconcerned (we've got the right medication) but we refused to give them out because we want to make a 'giant stride' profit.

As said above, can we in anyway justify our actions against our fellow human being just because we seem more powerful either militarily or economically? The problem of poverty today seems more prolonging and elongating because our so-called world leaders are not interested in building bridges that will link them with the poorest people of the world but instead they built wall purposely to segregate them from the poorest. Can they be forgiven? I guess no!

My prayer...

O God, pour out on us the water of life
that we may quench our thirst
and draw our strength from you.
Help us to stand alongside those
who struggle daily for clean water
so that all may be
refreshed and renewed by your love.
Amen.

Deliver us, O God,
from the pointless actions of evildoers.
Protect us from those who are violent,
and careless of who they hurt.
Redeem us from our anger,
comfort us in our loss,
and fill us with your peace.

For, I know that God maintains the cause of the needy,
and hears those who call out,
requires that we strengthen the weak,
and that we feed the hungry,
both now and always.
Amen

Politics of revenge; world at trouble.

When I had a closer and critical look at the problems confronting the whole world I arrived at the point that the genesis of the tribulations befalling us is our politics of revenge. Flashing back to the brutal attack of 9/11 where up to 3,000 Americans were killed, and in retaliation America had killed more than ten times that number of people in Afghanistan and Iraq, and devastated the lives of probably a hundred times more people.

When a mob in Fallujah desecrated and burned the bodies of four Americans, American armies retaliated with overwhelming force, killing about 1,000 Iraqis, destroying the city by their bombardment, and sacrificing the lives of 100 American soldiers, who, in terms of economics, are mostly the poorest people in America.

The events between Israel and Palestine also had been flaming by retaliation and thousand of innocent lives had been lose in this process. How can we make our world peaceful with retaliation? This cycle of revenge can only be broken when we all stand up against the immorality of injustice, war and terrorism and struggle for the beauty of peace, justice, and freedom for all. Yes. One may call them a dream. But then, what is life if one cannot pursue his or her dreams?

To many people, marriage is a legal union between a man and a woman to become a husband and wife. Yes, it's true! But why do we marry? Do we marry for sexual exploration? Ddo we marry to have kids? And when precisely is it morally reasonable to get married? In some people's view, i discovered that marriage has go to do with many things other than sexual activities or having kids. Many believe that a real marriage is got to do with maturity and responsibility. Maturity in the sense that one is not only physically matured like reaching a sexually active age but also intellectually grown-up, so that one will be able to d right things at the right time. Responsibility in the sense that one sees oneself as someone responsible and ready to responsibly act within one's family.

To other people, marriage is all about happiness and has got to do with to love and being loved. Some people believe that a better age for marriage should be 25 years upward. When I asked them why, they said marriages below that age are likely to break up prematurely as a result of the inability of both partners to act maturely. What is your our opinion? Can anyone help to give his/her own view on this issue?

Set you goals..
Because having a goal
Is like having a road map.
It shows you where to go
And you will know where not to go
Would you begin a trip to an unknown cit
Without first looking at a map

Many people conduct their lives
Without any personal road map to success
Goals are like a map
They help us determine
Where we want to end up
And give us personal direction
On which to focus our energy.

Remember a business without goal
Is a business without mission
A government without goal
Is a government that fails people
A man without goal
Is a man without target

The moment you decide on what you want
Then set your sights
And start taking action to achieve it
This action is the commitment on your part
And once you are committed to a goal
Problems are short term.

With your entire focus on your goal
You will reach levels of achievement
That you never thought possible

Without goals
You will end up going nowhere
Or you will end up following someone else's map!
Develop your map today
Set your goals and focus

Love! Love!! Love!!!
The most easiest word to say
But many people find it hard to practise

Love that has no leg or wing
But it can walk and fly high
From Tokyo to Lagos
From London to New York
There is no place beyond love reach

Love that has no mouth
But it speaks gently
And even sings melodious song
Easily danceable even more than hip-hop

Love! Love!! Love!!!
Love that has no arm
But it cudddles you
Caress and emotionally stimulates your soul
And brings about inner happiness of both lovers

Love
You re very good when things go right
But awfully bad when things go wrong
Love is our heart and our soul
It's never in our body

Love is what has been lost
That makes our world unsave
I loved love
Love loved me
Cand you give some love?
And make our world a nice place to live.

Last weekend election result in Spain has sent a warning signal to both Tony Blair and G. Bush. Before the election, the brutal attack on the innocent people of Madrid sent bad omens to the then ruling government that their time was almost up. Thanks to the good people and voters who deemed it urgently fit to ensure change in government to prevent future occurrence of such a brutal and inhuman attack.

Some critics are now even linking the attack on Thursday to the involvement of the then Spanish ruling government that supported America in the unneccessary war and killing of innocent people of Iraq. If the then Spanish government has witheld its support who knows this brutal attack might ve not occurred. If the entire people of Spain can logically reason and successfully ensure change in government, then G.W. Bush and Tony Blair should see that as a warning signal ...and they too might be defeated in the upcoming elections in their respective nations. We don't need you anymore...you've all caused world more sadness than happiness.....

I lead you home where you then went to sleep.

I told you a story about a little girl
Whose life was all in a whirl.
I gave you wisdom that helped you up
To help you when life felt corrupt.

A friend in need is what helps your friendship lead.
Help your friends when they feel low.
Let them know you have a lot of love to show.
Then you can really make their life light up and glow.
Nothing works like being patience
Although very few can practise it
Because it's very hard to endure
The man in hurry misses the way

There is no need to be in haste
For everyone has his/her own luck days
Those in hurry will die disappointedly
But he who has patience will inherit the earth

The journey of 100km begins with a step
And slow and steady always wins the race
For anything done in haste is never done well

Are you tired?
You feel everything is against you?
It's not as bad as you may think
For others have even worst problems than you did
Move with them and hear their problems
You'll surely admit yours is simple

Go to the old;
Go to the most experienced
They'll tell you they've once have problems
But their patience and endurance keeps them going
Take a little lesson from them
And you'll surely see the difference...

THE MEANING OF LOVE...

You say that love is nonsense....
I tell you it is no such thing.
For weeks and months it is a steady physical pain,
An ache about the heart, never leaving one,
By night or by day;
A long strain on one's nerves like toothache or rheumatism,
Not intolerable at any one instant,
But exhausting by its steady drain on the strength.

Love is a great beautifier.
And without love our life is a ship without a rudder
Life is like a body without a soul.
Love is a force more formidable than any other
It is invisible - it cannot be seen or measured
Yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment
And offer you more than any material possession ever could.

Love does not begin
The way we seem to think it does
Love is a battle, love is a war; love is growing up.
Love does not begin and end
The way we seem to think it does.
Love is a battle, love is a war;
Let no one who loves be called unhappy
Even love unreturned has its rainbow.

Love cannot endure indifference
It needs to be wanted like a lamp,
It needs to be fed out of the oil of another's heart
Or its flame burns low.

Love is the immortal flow of energy
That nourishes, extends and preserves.
Its eternal goal is life
We find rest in those we love,
And we provide a resting-place in ourselves for those who love us

There are never enough "I Love You's".
For the person who tries to live alone
Will not succeed as a human being
His heart withers
If it does not answer another heart
His mind shrinks away
If he hears only the echoes of his own thoughts
And finds no other inspiration

Love is great!

Is Iraq still a sovereign state...? Any idea..?

The Vice President of the United State, Dick Cheney was in Italy recently on a state visit. Asked about the US failure to find unconventional weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, Cheney told Italian political and business leaders that "Today, the former dictator of Iraq sits in captivity; he can no longer harbour and support terrorist, and his long efforts to acquire weapon of mass destruction are at an end."

Addressing the Italian Senate, Cheney said nothing about the earlier America's claims that Iraq possessed threatening chemical and biological weapons-the crux of the US case for the war on Iraq. Even the US chief weapons investigator in Iraq, David Kay, has said that he doubted Baghdad possessed unconventional weapons, and that he believed, "the intelligence community owes President George Bush an explanation."

However, for now, the Iraqi State has been subjected to the rule of American soldiers with much of its paraphernalia of statehood in limbo. A situation where a territory is subjected to crisis by a foreign state, is a complete denial of statehood to such a territory. In that light, Iraq is no longer a state.

Eight months after America's conquest of Iraq, the US should now be working towards acting the process of political resolution of the situation in the country and the authority of the U.S. While the US withdraws its troops to end the occupation, the UN should take control of the reconstruction and restoration of stability in Iraq. Iraqis should be allowed to adopt a new constitution approved by a national referendum, and should now hold elections with international observers present to democratically elect their own leaders. Iraq would continue to boil so long as American troops remain there. Dangers of an implosion are real.

What do you think?
