Wat inspireert jou?
My inspiration comes from things that interest me like the environment, the french language, poetry etc. it also comes from the success of others. I just get moved to make a difference when i see others trying to make a differece too. I can become very motivated to when I realize that others have similar goals and are doing things to accomplish it too.

I just love environmental work. I am involved in two groups right now that play an important part in sustainable environmental development within my country, Dominica. I see nature and the environment as a key resource that my country has and I'm willing to do my all to ensure that generations to come can benefit from its pristine nature. I became aware of such issues from an early age, i always took interest in environmental matters and now i am at an age where i can do my all, I joined associations that can make a difference on my small island. I'm just getting my feet wet but I hope to participate in the annual beach cleanup in october, environmental camps and many other activities. I am also a very big advocate when it comes to agriculture, my field of work, and am constantly advocating for increased incentives for young persons willing to get involved in agriculture as my island is vulnerable to alot of external pressures which can adversely affect our food security, this is also coupled by the increasing average age of our farmers. Through the National Association of Youth in Agriculture, we have advocated and have been successful to a certain measure to get the policy makers to address this issue but alot still needs to be done.

A good leader should be able to communicate properly with his audience and be able to "sell" his vision to his colleagues. He should be able to listen to his audience and adapt to his environment. He should be diplomatic in his actions and practice what he preaches too.

TIG introduced me to certain organization in my country, DYEO, which I joined and now I'm making a difference in that organization. TIG isn't well known among the youths in Dominica and many are not aware that such a forum exists for youth advocacy and participation.
