Wat inspireert jou?
The hope to achieve that change to which we look forward every day is what inspires me. The reality of the problems that face our world have solutions and/or can be improved. There are people that have been successful, obtaining their goals by helping others. I am inspired by being able to enjoy every wonderful moment in life, investing our energy to reach a point where we can all listen and concentrate on achieving our common goals.

When I was 19 years old, just out of high school and starting college, I became interested in environmental problems, studying its causes and effects. That is when I involved myself in youth groups that addressed these issues, using them as an axis for action programs. In the years thereafter and with the experience I had acquired, my interest changed and I delved into lesser known subjects. During those years, my participation in various non-profit organizations, such as the youth groups, allowed me to work on my own personal development. I was able to incorporate new knowledge, plan activities and events, share time with friends and meet people who make a daily effort to make those small changes that we all wish to see.

A good leader must possess great knowledge of reality and, at the same time, have his/her ideals at the forefront, hoping to achieve changes and improvements, searching to make advancements. A good leader must know how to listen while obtaining consensus in discussion groups. He/she should know how to make clear decisions while establishing certain priorities. He/she must be an individual capable of infusing the energy and motivation necessary for those that are involved to continue working and achieve common goals. Last but not least, a leader must be honest, considerate and make use of his/her values in every decision.

Since the time I decided to become a member of TIG, I have achieved many things that I could not have otherwise. I have greatly enjoyed being a member and being put in contact with like-minded individuals. It is because of this that I recommend TIG to others who would also like to use the site to inspire, inform, and get involved. It is a world of opportunities, knowledge, and young idealists that succeed in various areas of life. The only thing left to say is thank you for the help that you have offered me. With every contribution that I make, I hope to return the favor. For me, this whole movement and the energy invested by young people, the world’s most important group of young people ever seen, are making what could be called “a human earthquake” that will be felt in every corner of this planet.
