What inspires you?

"A Testament of Hope" A book by Martin Luther King (Jr) among other Patriotic Leaders. My hope has remained alive to inspire others around me and to always look for opportunities in each and every challenge I encounter. My driving principles are Hope, Peace, and Love. This explains my Humanitarian Character and a strong sense of optimism.

Tell us about an issue that matters to you and how you became aware and involved.

Access to Quality Education is a necessity in everyone's life. Uganda's Education system has remained stale for decades since the post-colonial times yet the work world is becoming more complex every day! Annoyingly, there is no sign of reform for the better! I discovered that career counseling and guidance are key elements that are missing in our curriculum at all levels, which propelled me to send an article to the New Vision newspaper and it was published on 19th May 2008. I also prepared a concept paper in which I made proposals for reforms that could improve the quality of our education. This paper was delivered to the Minister of Education and Sports on 24th May 2008, and copied to the permanent secretary of the same Ministry plus all other key stakeholders.
The issue was debated on several radio stations and I await a response from the Minister.

Share your perspectives on what makes a good leader.

A good leader is one who is principles but flexible on sensitive issues, exemplary, focused, honest, with high moral character and integrity. Must always be positive about criticism, respect other peoples' opinions and give credit where it is due. A good leader should always be prepared and confident in what ever they do, believing in themselves and providing effective representation.

Do you think TakingITGlobal can help you achieve some of your goals? Have we already? Please tell us how.
