Life is such that all of us come into the world with individual challenges which I think are meant to make us stronger and wiser. But these challenges are not always easy to work through nor are their lessons easy to learn. I get inspired when I see those people who are able to work through the challenges which might seem insurmountable at first. TakingITGlobal has helped me achieve my goals by providing me a space to grow and expand my learning. Over the centuries, the town of Banska Stiavnica was visited by many outstanding engineers and scientists, many of whom contributed to its fame. The old medieval mining centre grew into a town with Renaissance palaces, 16th-century churches, elegant squares and castles. The urban centre blends into the surrounding landscape, which contains vital relics of the mining and metallurgical activities of the past.
