Good leaders are not common in most African countries which is due in part to the type of democratic practices employed by the country's leaders when getting elected, creating new policies, and delivering on promises made. A good leader therefore is one who is able to produce results over 50% of the time, be objective when making decisions, and be willingly to make his or her own decisions. I want to see the nations of the OECD bring their levels of aid to 0.7% of GNI. I really believe that poverty is an issue that could be drastically affected in our lifetimes and I am determined to see some key changes made. The Make Poverty History campaign is hitting countries all over the world and making 'ordinary citizens' aware of the real issues faced by one in five people on this planet. Ghadamès, known as 'the pearl of the desert', stands in an oasis. It is one of the oldest pre-Saharan cities and an outstanding example of a traditional settlement. Its domestic architecture is characterized by a vertical division of functions: the ground floor used to store supplies; then another floor for the family, overhanging covered alleys that create what is almost an underground network of passageways; and, at the top, open-air terraces reserved for the women.
