Students are constantly being bombarded with IT in their lives. They come to school as digital natives and we are their immigrants. We need to teach and learn using these tools, as they are using them anyway. We need to guide them through this shift in education, or we will have a group of unmotivated, disengaged youth. I came to be involved with TIG for networking purposes, sharing experiences and learning about other cultures and I must say I have not been disappointed. TIG has helped me attain those goals and meet people of different backgrounds, cultures etc and this has taught me tolerance and acceptance. So I believe TIG can help you achieve some of one's goals.
