Yes, I think that TakingITGlobal has given me an opportunity to network with various youth globally, and to gain a better understanding of what is happening internationally. As well I believe that TIG can do even more in terms of creating an inclusive environment for young people to network, gather ideas, and reflect upon their personal challenges, especially with regards to youth in Africa. To me, TIG is a place for us to share information and ideas, to raise our voice and get involved in the world's issues. In other words, it acts on our awareness and connect us together. Once we are together, whether we do something or not is totally up to us. In other words, TIG is a mean for inspiring people to achieve their goals, it's definitely not all that we need. I am inspired by the beauty of nature, watching the sunrise in the early morning, the growth of plants from seeds to harvest, and star filled nights. I had the privilege of living and working in the small coffee producing community of Los Cacaos in the mountains of the Dominican Republic. With my love of nature and my background in organic agriculture this experience inspires me daily as to the joys of working in solidarity with people who are making positive changes in the world.
