I'm inspired by the amount of strength, persistence, and resistance that people have despite what they are up against. There are many stories of resistance to colonialism but resistance to me means treating each other well and not being afraid to challenge the ways of thinking that divide us e.g. challenging racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism etc. I believe that as people we can move a lot farther ahead if we change the linear ways of thinking that work to divide us and we must see how we... The topics that matter to me most are poverty, migration, and illiteracy. I believe that achieving a better world depends on the existence of a different style of education whereby people have the opportunity to learn how to improve their quality of life. The ability to help others, the work that evolves from bringing change and the passion of trying to follow in the footsteps of the greats in serving humanity. In Africa, despite all of its told problems, there is warmth, hope and satsification in everyones face. There is true humanity in community and indeed there is a great energy for them to realise their dreams.
