I am inspired by the beauty of nature, watching the sunrise in the early morning, the growth of plants from seeds to harvest, and star filled nights. I had the privilege of living and working in the small coffee producing community of Los Cacaos in the mountains of the Dominican Republic. With my love of nature and my background in organic agriculture this experience inspires me daily as to the joys of working in solidarity with people who are making positive changes in the world. I am inspired by Youth, by Voice, and by people who care. I am also inspired by the beauty of the world, which I think consists of nature, of art and of community. I am involved in theatre, and literature: I was recently published in a book about Indigenous identity, the environment, and co-habitation and communication between Indigenous peoples and French Canadians in Québec. In simple words, a good leader has to have a heart that's bigger than his or her ego. Experience, skills, and intelligence can be developed over time, but if a leader does not feel for the people then there is not a single reason for him or her to be in the position to start with.
