I am inspired by the beauty of nature, watching the sunrise in the early morning, the growth of plants from seeds to harvest, and star filled nights. I had the privilege of living and working in the small coffee producing community of Los Cacaos in the mountains of the Dominican Republic. With my love of nature and my background in organic agriculture this experience inspires me daily as to the joys of working in solidarity with people who are making positive changes in the world. Many things inspire me, from religious freedom to environmental protection, but I am inspired most by youth who have realized their own potential to initiate and produce positive changes in their environment. In addition, youth who have taken their own meager resources to create change in their community without the support of others (e.g. politicians and alike) have also been an inspiration to me.
