I have been a friend, companion and sister to many young people who are silenced by all sorts of trauma in different levels. I am really into peer-counselling. This means I have to be the 'voice' of reason to someone who feels trapped and sees no escape. This also means that as a young person myself, I have to lead by example and practice what I preach. There are a lot of issues that i come across everyday: teenage pregnancy, suicide, domestic abuse, substance abuse and more. ( leer más)

What inspires me is the passion that young that young people all over the world have for social change. Nelson Mandela once said that the world is hungry for action not words. Young people can remain an untapped resource if decision-makers do not integrate their knowledge, vision and experience.
