I belong to the Sindh [culture], which is made up of a community of loving and caring people. Actually, it was in my Sindh village where an older man first inspired me. He was known [in my village] for helping others without asking for anything in return. One day I asked this man, “why do you help others without asking to be compensated”? The issue that really matters to me is giving a voice to the voiceless. This group includes the poor and the youthful youth. I became aware about this through my work as a journalist as most of the issues that are being covered by the media concern people that are already in the limelight and leave out the grassroots.
