Yes, I think that TakingITGlobal has given me an opportunity to network with various youth globally, and to gain a better understanding of what is happening internationally. As well I believe that TIG can do even more in terms of creating an inclusive environment for young people to network, gather ideas, and reflect upon their personal challenges, especially with regards to youth in Africa. An important issue that matters to me is violence against women and girls. There is a great need for young people to begin to participate in development processes; but widespread ignorance on critical issues, such as budgeting, can hinder the development process. Another issue that matters to me is the gap between youth and policy makers, but building a bridge between this gap will remain elusive as long as youth remain ignorant on the policy issues that affect all of us.
