I am extremely passionate about Indigenous issues, and all facets of Indigenous struggles. I have worked in Treaty Land Entitlement and Specific Lands claims, which allowed me to gain invaluable knowledge of the legal systems for First Nation land claims in Canada. However, this was not the beginning of my introduction to Indigenous politics. I grew up in a home that was surrounded and occupied with people heavily involved in Indigenous politics. For me, inspiration can be found among many challenges, either positive or negative. In the case of positive challenges, I have been inspired by good manners, which I have used to tackle and handle problems for which I have also received recognition. My personal achievements have also positively inspired me since it has resulted in the improvement of living standards among many poor communities. My principal inspiration comes from God, my creator who has given me life beyond measure and who has given me a second chance to start all over again. I am also inspired by the challenges, problems, and the unexpected situations of the people in my community and the larger global community as well.
