I have been a friend, companion and sister to many young people who are silenced by all sorts of trauma in different levels. I am really into peer-counselling. This means I have to be the 'voice' of reason to someone who feels trapped and sees no escape. This also means that as a young person myself, I have to lead by example and practice what I preach. There are a lot of issues that i come across everyday: teenage pregnancy, suicide, domestic abuse, substance abuse and more. ( ler mais)

I think a good leader is one who is fair, self motivated, appreciative, committed, enthusiastic, understanding and one who can articulate issues. In addition, one who has strong ability to influence the rest of the group in doing something either in a negative or positive way but the best way is to encourage the team to do positive things. Also a good leader should listen to the voices of those that they lead and incorporate their interests and opinions in the decision-making process. ( ler mais)

What inspires me the most are the rights of youth and children and how they develop those rights. This is most easily communicated with the use of ICT (Information and Communications Technology) tools, which inform the public, especially young people [on their rights] and their environment. As well, I am inspired by the well-being of every individual and their way of life.
In addition, I am determined to help every youth find success in the future by helping them while they develop. ( ler mais)
