The issue that really matters to me is giving a voice to the voiceless. This group includes the poor and the youthful youth. I became aware about this through my work as a journalist as most of the issues that are being covered by the media concern people that are already in the limelight and leave out the grassroots. The ability to help others, the work that evolves from bringing change and the passion of trying to follow in the footsteps of the greats in serving humanity. In Africa, despite all of its told problems, there is warmth, hope and satsification in everyones face. There is true humanity in community and indeed there is a great energy for them to realise their dreams. A good leader does not dominate nor dictate. A good leader produces other leaders, not followers. A good leader should understand the importance of service. Leaders are supposed to serve, but many people do not understand this. Nelson Mandela epitomizes the ideal serving leader as he served his native peoples to fight for human rights.
