Many of us got to know about the arab spring on TV in february 2011, but the region wide movement of young and committed people had worked for several years before the uprising began to create the momentum needed for change. A group of film makers followed some of these activists during the turbulent time leading up to the events we see now. About a generation of people who could#8217;t see any alternative then to speak up for their rights, to any cost. Their new documentary, Zero Silence, are a powerful history about the people behind the arab spring.

We will interview one of the directors, Jonny von Wallström, with questions collected by our listeners. It#8217;s a good opportunity to ask a question to one of the people with a broad perspective and eye witness experience to history.

The fall season will premiere on August 21st, we release some of the people we will interviewon August 10th. We plan to publish one podcast each Sunday until December 25th.

Next week we will interview Dianna Cohen, artist and co-founded of the Plastic Pollution Coalition. With the Plastic Pollution Coalition, she helps to raise awareness of ocean waste #8211; the majority of which is nondegradable plastic #8211; and everyday strategies to cut down the amount of plastic we use and throw away.

I run the blog Best TEDtalks where I share the most interesting lectures from the world famous conference. The blog is getting more and more popular and I#8217;ve decided to start interviewing selected speakers as a way to develop the blog and share more ideas from the great minds.

I will use Citizen Dialogue to collect questions for the interviews and then post the interviews as podcast both at Best TEDtalks and Citizen Dialogue.

On June 5th Citizen Dialogue will attend a seminar on the Israel/Palestine conflict to interview a selection of the speakers. They represent international organizations and universities working to find solutions to the situation.

Today I started to work with the dialogue process on United Nations Climate Change conference COP16. Policy makers from all over the world will gather to try to find a solution to the climate crisis and build a sustainable future.

The Generation Dialogue will host two media productions, one at the beginning of the conference and one at the end. I#8217;m in the process of inviting speakers now and hope it will be ready in a week. The speakers list will include scientists, climate activists and policy makers. And they will be ready to answer your questions and comments.

Since I read Jared Diamonds book Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies his been one of my great sources of inspiration. He#8217;s one of the few people I know that writes about the human history to explain what#8217;s happening today.

And today I will see him talk for the first time. I#8217;m on my way to the Nobel Museum where he will give a talk on #8220;Why are some countries poor and some are rich#8221;. This will be great.

Today I accepted to attend World Child #038; Youth Forum in Stockholm, Sweden. I got the invitation because I#8217;ve been the president of the media center Fanzingo and we work to raise young peoples voices with the help of media.

World Child #038; Youth Forum was set up on the initiative of the Swedish Royal Family. The aim is to inspire more people to work in the spirit of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Children and young people will take part in the discussions and in the exchange of experiences, bringing their perspectives to the dialogue.

It will be a great venue to discuss youth participation, social media for social change and to get to know new people working for a better community for young people.
