Happy International Women's Day

Today marks the 100th anniversary of the global event since its inception in 1911.

When reflecting on the pre historic struggles of women worldwide, one cannot help but wonder...what lies ahead? and are we as women closer to the ideal of seeking attainment and freedoms for our strength and efforts.

I would like to dedicate today to the women across the Middle East who has served to inspire me through their activism and leading role when shaping the future of Arab Feminism.

The future of feminist movements and the rights of women worldwide continues to be a harsh reality for vast majority of women in the world today.

Rise...Speak...Be heard!

With the women of Gaza on my mind...Happy Int#39;l Women#39;s Day everyone.

What are you doing in your hometowns to increase awareness for woman rights and gender issues? Share your ideas and stories!
