Wow! We completed another Unit of Inquiry in the PYP. We had some great responses. This group started quite weak this year and their first unit was quite poor. This one showed a great improvement which gives me quite some hope for their Exhibition unit coming in May. (the Exhibition is a the ultimate unit in PYP schooling and is on display for the world to visit (as much as can be convinced to attend anyway).

We are lacking an international connection and are still hanging out for a connection somehow to be made. Unit #3 this year is on emotions and is called Deal With It. We look at our how people express emotions through art and have the opportunity to look at relationships amongst other things.

Unit #4 is Lifestyles and Quality of Life (our Exhibition last year) and Unit #5 (the Exhibition) is Action. We're still working out what it might look like.

Unit #6 is a short science unit on Light and Sound.

We have around 50 nations represented at our school. I'm impressed by the integrated nature of the school but it feels rather passive and I'd like something a little more 'up front' to challenge our leaning. Is anyone interested in making a global connection?
