The soup and chili day held on November 17, 2010 at the Health Services Branch, Ministry of Health was a success.

Thank you all for the various ways in which you supported the HSB soup and chili day on November 17th.

Donations of your delicious soups and chili were very much appreciated. Some brought in complementary food items such as buns, sour cream, cheese, butter, etc, yet even more joined us for lunch, all in support of this worthy cause.

Your support made this a success and on behalf of CanAssist Africa Relief Trust, we thank you very much for making this event a success!

The HSB soup and chili day Fundraiser for CanAssist Africa Relief Trust brought in $600.00. All money raised will go to support the CanAssist Africa Relief Trust projects.

If you are in a small town, donor fatigue can creep in very quickly. The key is to offer value for money by holding sales of all sorts. Bake sales are always a good way to go but can be time consuming and may be costly to run.

I found that book sales are the way to go. Previously read books are easy to collect given that many avid readers are eager to get rid of their old books and at the same time more than ready to find that book they've wanted to read without breaking the bank.

Used book sale raises 800 dollars...wow.

The support for our projects is tremendous. In an office of only 100 people, Mary Lou Webster and Pat Durnford organized a booksale that turned out to be a smashing success. People donated used books and were eager to buy new used books to replace what they had donated. We were able to raise 800.00 dollars in a matter of hours. This money will go toward supporting our projects.

Thank you all for your support.
