Film Festival

When the TIG members told us about this project, i was awfully excited. I was thinking we would get to choose our subtopic, I would have chosen peace and conflict. Then a little while later when they came to meet us again I realised we were not aloud to choose, and eventually i realised we were nto allowed to choose partners. I felt as though i was being cheated.
In the end i was assigned with Social Justice Human Rights, and my partners were Alice and Katherine. I started to question myself, have I ever even talked to them once in this lifetime? the answer to that question was probably no. So i took this opportunity to get to kno them better, actually get them to smile. All they did was mope around all day, but my fooling around did the trick. Although i was not with my friends, and i was not the best partner I enjoyed this project immensily.
Especially when we got to play on the laptops =). Social Justice Human Rights seemed like an easy topic to work with at first, but I was wrong. Although this project was an easy project to work on, it took an extremely long time to complete. Somewhere in the middle i started having doubts as to whether we'd be able to finish or not and I'm pretty sure others had their doubts as well, but we all pulled together and in the end came up with 10 excelltn films and one great film festival. What i did for my group was basically all the computer stuff, while Alice and Katherine wokred on the language based things and art. I came up with the logo, they worked on the brochure. We did our fair share of work, but i often goofed off.
In conclusion I would like to thank all of TIG, you guys left me inspired, informed, and involved.

We got good comments on our film but we have to make the music transitions cleaner. We will be showing our movies to the garde 6 and 7 studets before we present then at the festival. SO far i am enjoying this project but sometimes i get annoyed because of what we are told to do..i don't really know why, i just am.

Stereotypes are ideas or beliefs that people come up with, that help them judge others. Usually "different" people are judged. Stereotypes are ideas used to judge people of a different ethnic people or people who express their uniqueness or individuality. Example : " Gays and Lesbians always have HIV and AIDS ." Which is not always true. Now I will relate my topic (social justice and human rights) with stereotypes. Womean are said to be weak or very useless, never taken to be taken as equals with men. Youths are said to be dangerous. They join gangs. Example : A teenager walks around in a convienience store, while doing so the shopkeeper watches him thinking that the teen will proabably steal something. Example : " Gays and Lesbians are evil ." Stereotypes are beliefs that a single person or even a group can come up with to discriminate others that are different from them. Example: " Chinese people have speech problems." Example : " Gangsters alays travel in groups so they can corner some one who is alone and take something from him like his money. Tamil people are said to join gangs...stereotypes are not always true they are usually a bunch of loose talk made up by someone dicrimintaing someone else. In conclusion stereotypes are everywhere and there are stereotypes about almost everything hopefully we won't have as many in the near future.

Raptors overall have done about 2-3 times better this season than usual. Amazingly Vince Carter has only been injured once and came back after 2 games. Basically the reason for this is because of the trade that happened between the Bulls and The Raptors. In my opinion the bulls were "ripped off". I think we were at the better end of the deal. recieving Jalen Rose, Donyell Marshall and Lonny Baxter for Chris Jeffries, Antonio Davis and Jerome Williams.
