3rd May is International Press Freedom Day. I find this issue very important, not just because I'm a journalist myself. The media are still not free in many countries. They're under political and economical pressure. But, is absolute freedom and independence of press possible? When I started my work in a newspaper, I felt disappointed, as most of my wonderful ideas of independent, objective and honest journalism were gone. Is there any chance of changing this situation? Maybe an international discussion led by young journalists from around the world would be a good idea. Maybe we could organize some kind of a meeting. We can't change the world, but speaking of the freedom of communication, understanding what it looks like internationally can be a small and significant step into the future. What do you think about it? Should we start doing something?
