What inspires you?

The idea of having young people being given a platform were they can share ideas and address or redress their issues. Youths around the world have been left out in all forms of development, they have been regarded has rowdy and disorganized and are tools of distraction, without having youths coming together and creating platforms where their voices could be heard. the change and respect of Human rights in the world still remains a word on the tongue for many and abuse of the youths rights is the aim of many governments.

Tell us about an issue that matters to you and how you became aware and involved.

The major issues that matters most is when i see the abuse of human rights. For long in my home town has been happening and it did not affect me. it all started in 2000 during my study at the university when students were hosting a peaceful march against the systems of the university, police came and we were beaten up. From this day i so my self been involved in awareness activities of human rights abuse. it went worse in 2005 when houses were demolished by the government and in 2008, high rate of inflation did hit the country. I started wondering what of those who were just abused and could not stand against any forms of abuse.

Share your perspectives on what makes a good leader.

My understanding is that a good leader takes all views and respects what ever comes from the people. A good leader never stops people from bringing in new ideas and will accept that development comes at a new era.

i do understand that it can and is already showing the signs by connecting young people/ youths who have different backgrounds. the youths that i have come to know are not those who are written in the newspapers has rowdy and disorganized, no there are youths who want there own space and thats why many government would refer to us as rowdy
